"Friends for Life"

At 76, Warren DeWitt was single and living alone. 90-year-old Arden Peters was caring for his Alzheimer-stricken wife. In Friends for Life, an unlikely commitment between these two gentlemen eases the burden of old age for both of them. See the project at http://mediastorm.com/publication/friends-for-life

The film I choose to watch today was titled "Friends for Life" by Julie Winokur and Ed Kashi. This film was about the un-separable bond between two elderly men copping with the passing days that lead them closer to their inevitable fate. Simple task's that once where so easy become daily obstacles in their life due to age. One man, age 76 is significantly older than the other man who is 90. Because of his younger age he does most of the physical work around the house and estate. While one man relies on his friend to keep the house clean and food made they both equally depend on each other for laughter, happiness and each others companionship when in a time of antiquity is so important. The authors goal of the film is to show people just how important that bond can be. The author achieves this by taking you on a trip through the two mans daily lives together. The film leaves you with a simple message of friendship its significance in our everyday lives.
